We can all thank Air New Zealand again for this one. If you don’t want to do a three-way flight for about 50 dollars more, which includes New Zealand and you’re trip, you can fly one-stop to Australia from San Francisco fro $730 and up on Air New Zealand.

$800 for a roundtrip flight to Melbourne from San Francisco is deal in itself. Especially for Christmas time. After further research, I found that I can add a stopover in Auckland without bringing up the price. In some cases, the stopover will actually REDUCE the flight price.

Qantas and United aren’t the only ones offering cheap flights to Australia from San Francisco. Air New Zealand is getting in on the latest price trends by offering one-stop flights to Melbourne from San Francisco for $729 including all taxes and fees.

Qantas is also offering discount flights to Australia, but their prices on flights to Cairns are not as cheap as Air New Zealand right now.

Qantas discounts are through November. November can be a good month to go Down Under, its just starting to become summertime there around then.

They are offering these prices on flights leaving on almost any day, and through December, which is extremely rare, as most discount flights to Australia only are valid through October, which is during the Australian winter.

As with the Melbourne flight deal, I’d suggest taking a quick look with Qantas before booking any flights to Australia, as they often have discounts going on as well.

Flights to Australia just keep on getting cheaper. I have found a number of flights on United on many different days in June to Melbourne from San Francisco for $747 roundtrip.
