This July and August, flights to Barcelona from San Francisco have dropped to $664 round trip. This includes taxes and fees. Wednesdays are the cheapest days to fly out and back. Thursdays and Saturdays tend to be pretty cheap days to travel as well.

Flights to Australia just keep on getting cheaper. I have found a number of flights on United on many different days in June to Melbourne from San Francisco for $747 roundtrip.
