$664 - Flights to Barcelona from San Francisco

This July and August, flights to Barcelona from San Francisco have dropped to $664 round trip. This includes taxes and fees.

Wednesdays are the cheapest days to fly out and back. Thursdays and Saturdays tend to be pretty cheap days to travel as well.

I found this particular fare when doing a search for flights on July 17th and July 24th, and found similar fares on other 7 day intervals in July and August.

Flights are on Delta or Northwest Airlines and flight time is about 16 hours. I found a few flights that were 14 hours. Plan for a short layover at JFK airport in New York City, which is about half the distance between San Francisco and Barcelona, so that works out pretty well.

This is one of the cheapest flights to Europe that I have found recently form San Francisco. Even flights to London are more expensive than this.

Barcelona is also one of my favorite cities in Europe. Its one of the few cities that I would go back to over and over again. There’s almost too much to do here between dining on Tapas, eating fresh seafood, going to the beach, visiting museums, walking through the old town, and shopping, and that doesn’t even consider the quick train and bus rides to other parts of Catalonia, Spain, and southern France.
