$601 - Flights to Sydney through December

Flights to Australia just keep on dropping in price. United Airlines’ most recent flight announcement pegged direct roundtrip flights between San Francisco and Sydney at $601 including all taxes and fees.

This is a massive flight discount. Normally, taxes and fees to fly to Australia add at least a couple hundred dollars on their own, meaning United is only making a couple hundred bucks per roundtrip ticket.

They have to be losing money on this.

They are offering these prices on flights leaving on almost any day, and through December, which is extremely rare, as most discount flights to Australia only are valid through October, which is during the Australian winter.

From Sydney, there are plenty of quick flights to Melbourne, the Gold Coast, or Cairns, jump off point to the Great Barrier Reef.

I’d suggest spending at least a couple of days in Sydney as well. As mentioned previously, I want to do this next time I go there:
