Air Canada is offering a number of roundtrip flights to Tokyo from San Francisco for $571. Most flights have a layover in Vancouver, which can be 5 hours long.

Overall flight time is 17 hours there and 14 hours back (the layover on the way back is shorter)

I have found a number of flights at this price, but it seems that the cheapest ones leave on June 13th, and the return date is flexible.
