$1500 - Flights to Tahiti from SFO

I had to do it. Every once in a while I’ll look up flight costs for trips to some of my ‘If I could go anywhere, I’d go here’ destinations.

I also just watched an Anthony Bourdain episode where he went to Tahiti. If this picture to the left doesn’t make you want to go here, let me tell you about their French-infused cuisine that incorporate fresh fish caught the day of.

Though my initial search was spontaneous, it looks like there are a number of one-stop flights going to Tahiti from SFO. Many of them stop in LA briefly.

Things to Do in Tahiti:

Scuba Diving, Catamaran Rides, Sailing Lessons, 4-Wheel Mountain Safari, Surfing, Body Boarding, Body Surfing, Horseback Riding on the Beach, Deep Sea Fishing, Lagoon Kayaking, Spearfishing, Bare Foot Water Skiing, Hike Aorai Mountain - just to name a few of the activities.

Oh yes, and Tahiti was where Paul Gaugain experienced much of his inspiration. He’s got a museum there too.
