Flight Details: Flight pretty much any day of the week will be under $600 including tax, with single stops in Houston, Miami, or San Salvador (El Salvador). Expect layovers of anywhere between 30 minutes and 4 hours. Overall, the flight will take anywhere from 6-10 hours from SFO.

Belize Transportation:
Taxis from the Belize City airport to the water taxi station is 20 dollars fixed. The Water Taxi ride will take about 45 minutes to Caye Caulker and about an hour and half to Ambergris Caye.

Hanging out on the Cayes:
The Belizean Cayes are some of the lesser known Caribbean paradise spots. Though on mainland Central America, The Belizean Cayes have a definitive Caribbean vibe, with a laid back atmosphere and plenty of tropical bars and resorts. For more of a nighlife, make sure to spend a few nights Ambrigris Caye, and for more of a laid back vibe, book a small hotel room on Caulker Caye, where you can walk up to most places and book a room on the spot.

Though you can book a run-down accommodation for as little as 20 bucks, in the 50-100 dollar price range per night you can get a more-than-adequate hotel room, and at 100-200 dollars you can get a luxurious suite, often with pool access.
