$593 - Flights to Munich from New York - Oktoberfest

2009 Oktoberfest is September 19 to August 4th, according to the official Oktoberfest website.

Flights from New York to Munich around this time is about $700 on most dates, but certain days, especially flying early in the week can bring down the price to under $600 including all taxes and fees.

This flight in particular flies out on September 19, and flies back on September 30.

The cheapest flights are with Czech Airlines or KLM.

As an alternative to flying into Munich, flights to Frankfurt or Berlin can be really cheap as well, then just grab a train down to Bavaria.

If you wait to book this flight until only a month or two before Oktoberfest, the price will probably go up to the 800 to 1000 dollar range.

I’d also suggest booking hotels or hostels as soon as possible as well, as they can fill up, or they will jack up the price if you don’t book ahead of time.

One final note on Oktoberfest, in 2007, party goers consumed 6,940,600 liters of beer.
