$550 - Flights to Madrid from Los Angeles

This fall, flights to Europe are finally going down in price. Iberia Airlines is offering one-stop flights between Madrid and LAX for $550 including all taxes and fees. Flights have a quick layover in DC.

Once in Madrid, its easy to catch a train to all regions of Spain and Portugal. Or, if you are feeling a little bit more adventurous, you can usually catch a flight to Morocco for under 200 dollars.

Spain is one of the cheapest places to fly to right now, and especially in Europe. Other cheap European destinations are Germany, Switzerland, and Greece. I’ve found an occasional cheap flight to Rome as well.
