Iberia Airlines is offering seriously discounted flights from Chicago to Morocco right now.

You can fly on most days of the week and get to Casablanca for $569 roundtrip including all taxes and fees.

Flights with any other airline costs $1000 right now.

Both United and JetBlue are offering discount direct flights to LA from Chicago right now. United flies into LAX airport, where as JetBlue flies into Long Beach Airport.

The Cheapest JetBlue flights are Monday-Wednesday and Saturday. They just announced a specific deal to Long Beach Airport that will be no longer available after August 5th (this coming Wednesday).

The cheapest United flights are on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, and you usually need to book at least two weeks in advance. Flights on other days can cost 50 to 100 dollars more.

Ibera Airlines is offering the cheapest flights to Athens in September for $679 roundtrip including all taxes and fees. Flights have a quick stopover in Madrid.

The cheapest flights with Iberia are on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

British Airways and KLM both also offer discount flights to Athens for about 700 dollars each way. Most British Airways flights are $685 roundtrip.

Where to Go from Athens

The most popular party islands are Mykonos, Ios, Santorini, Rhodes, Kos, or Korfu. Actually, though in September, the party vibe is usually toned down considerably compared to July and August, though still going.

For a more relaxed atmosphere, try visiting Crete or Kefalonia

This Fall, LAN Airlines is offering discounted flights to Lima Peru for $521 roundtrip including all taxes and fees.

Flights are on most days of the week including many weekend dates, so you could do a week long Peruvian vacation, including stops at Machu Picchu, Cuzco, and Lima while only taking 5 days off of work.

American Airlines is also offering discounted flights to Peru for about $575 roundtrip.

Flights typically have a quick layover in either Miami or Costa Rica. Flight time between Chicago and Lima is about 10 hours each way.

If you’re mostly interested in getting to Machu Piccu (as most people are) , tere are two popular routes; either trek the Inca Trail which can take a couple of days, or take public transportation through Cuzco and Aguas Calientes.

On select days in August, September, and October, American Airlines is offering direct roundtrip flights between Miami and Chicago for $179 including all taxes and fees.

The first weekend in September looks particularly appealing. Flights leave on Friday, September 3rd, and come back either Sunday or Monday. Total flight cost is $179, and flights are direct and take under three hours each way.

Delta, Northwest, AirTran, and United also offer flights between Miami and Chicago, and in many cases, there flights cost less than 200 dollars as well.

Maybe its the episode of ‘Miami Social‘ I watched last night, but this seems like a great excuse to visit Miami for a weekend.

Flights to Orlando from Chicago are also particularly cheap right now.

Every once and a while I’ll encounter an airline deal that is so good that it makes me want to drop everything and travel.

Just announced, Turkish Airlines is offering roundtrip direct flights between Istanbul and Chicago for $544 including all taxes and fees.

Flights are offered on many different days in late August, September and October, but the cheapest flights are usually Monday through Friday.

Flights on other days are still under 600 dollars.

I’ve searched for flights to Istanbul in the past from all major cities in the US, and the price has always been towards 1,000 dollars.

What Can You Do in Istanbul?

What can you not do? Most people head straight to the old city, where the Hagia Sofia is a highlight and from where the Byzantine Empire was based more than 1,000 years ago.

United airlines has just announced a 2 for 1 sale on all flights to major Canadian cities.

These are some of the cheapest flights I have seen to Canada from Chicago, which can be a surprisingly expensive flight considering how close many of these cities are.

This fall, American Airlines and British Airways are both offering discount flights to Milan from Chicago for just under 600 dollars.

British Airways flights typically fly through London Heathrow and take about twelve hours each way. Direct flights between New York City and Milan take about eight hours.

This August, catch a last minute flight to the Nassau Bahamas from Chicago for $277 from US Airways.

Flights are available most weeks, and the cheapest flights are Monday through Wednesday.

Flights are between four and seven hours and they have a quick layover in Charlotte.
